In my opinion your work is something you love and something you are joyfully willing to do everyday. It is also special because it combines your specific skills and passions to create something that will help and benefit others. Furthermore, I feel that the image we created depicts the positive and negative connotations associated with work. However, I do not agree with everything that we said supports the concept of work. Specifically, I like the to use our model to say that, your PURPOSE in life is to become SUCCESSFUL by doing what you LOVE. Once all of these things are put together then you are able to SUPPORT your FRIENDS and FAMILY. This is your FUTURE, one of HAPPINESS and FULFILLMENT, SUCCESS and ACCOMPLISHMENT. I believe that once you LEARN to live like this you will be fulfilling your work as a vocation and MONEY will fall into place. Your vocation can ultimately be defined as your passions put to work and is the ultimate goal to strive for because it allows us to have BALANCE between making money and focusing on what matters most in life, family and friends. This is what I strive for and is what I wish for out of life.

This image represents an overall forecast of work. Different types of work include clusters and combinations of diverse words that relate better. From this image, I find many words that I personally don't associate with work. My preferences and purpose towards fulfilling my work as my vocation are the following: Self-worth, future, security, enjoyment, and purpose. For no reason I listed self-worth first. I directly relate self-worth to work because work builds character and can help improve your confidence level and independence. Next, future directly relates to work because depending on how hard you work and devote yourself, in most cases, you can build your future and provide my next word listed, security. Finally, the last two words link together. If you enjoy what you work for you will find purpose in waking up everyday and gaining self-worth, building a future, finding security through work.

When i look at this imagine, i see all the different reasons to move forward and work hard to succeed in what you truly want. Just as I see a lot of words that aren't reasons for me, words such as, family, support, future, purpose, self-worth, fulfillment, and success are. As I listed those words i pretty much put them in order of what my priorities and goals from working are. The biggest word of all those for me is FAMILY. My biggest reason to succeed in working in the future is too support my family and take care of them through everything. All the words i choose connect in some way to each other. After supporting my family, succeeding my work/career is very important so that the job I have is a career I love and so that I can work to higher levels of it. Surrounding those previous words is PURPOSE, and my purpose is be able to make a good living, support my family, and not have to worry about job or money problems. The next to words to me are especially joined together, self-worth and fulfillment. Together those words say to me "I need to work and strive for my goals and happiness", my happiness doesn't come from myself it comes from making the people i love happy, and my fulfilling my goals I ultimately have 100% self-worth. My last word sums up all the words i picked combined, success in my work is all that i want, with that success comes success in supporting my family and making life exactly the way I want it to be in fulfilling my vocation.

I believe loving what you do is your vocation. I believe your career and life should be aroound your passion. If you love what you do, then everything just falls into place. Family and friends should always be the most important thing in life. They are the ones who will always be there to support you and guide you no matter what happens. They also are the ones who will forgive you when you are wrong. I believe that if you love what you do, then everything else is just how it is suppost to be. I also think that in situations where money is the most important thing, there is need for change. If money is the central thought and want out of a vocation then it is almost as if nothing matters. Relationships become stressed and usually have consequences. I beieve that autonomy is also very important. By knowing yourself and loving yourself, you can then love another person. Everyone wants success. Everyone wants to be number one. Sometimes that does not happen but by putting in the effot and knowing you tried, that is what matters the most.

Work is defined as numerous things in this picture. They range from girls, fear, balance, goals and the future. All those words define work and each has its own meaning to an individual person. However, when I look at the picture these words stick out; Autonomy, Self-worth, Enjoyment, Success, Support, Love and Happiness. These words are a larger font on the screen too which plays a role in helping to stand out. Autonomy and self-worth go hand in hand. Through work you are finding yourself and then also feel a sense of worth in this world. Once you know who you are you will have more self-esteem and feel better belonging in society. Enjoyment, Love, and Happiness all work together. In order to be Happy, you must enjoy and love what you do. When fulfilling work as a vocation, something you will do for the rest of your life, these three words is what should come to mind. Through work you will either support something or others will depend on you for support. Lastly, there is success. When fulfilling your vocation, you should want to achieve success, be at the top, and be the best you can be. When all of these puzzle pieces are put together; Autonomy, Self-worth, Enjoyment, Success, Support, Love and Happiness will be fulfilled.

In this picture, work is supported by different reasons of why we work. Each of these words answer the question "why do we work"? And obviously there are small reasons to work, and big reasons to work. Everyone could have different reasons/ motives on why to work, but most will work for support, a family, one's future, success, and finally happiness. To survive in this world, we need to work, and earn money for food, for clothes, for a house, and for more education. We need to work to support not only ourselves, but also our families. The people we love depend on us to work, and to help each other. We work to build a better future, and to be successful. But most importantly we work to be happy. The benefits of work, and sometimes the work itself make us happy. Success and enjoyment are results of this motive, and everyone strives for happiness. Happiness is key, and staying happy is staying successful. However, one should never allow work to define their personality, but to define themselves by their work ethic. This is the basis for all of the motives to work: work ethic. With work ethic, we can achieve anything, and happiness will be fullfilled.

Work. The word work is usually used in a negative way; used to describe something you don't enjoy doing, but need to for a specific reason. However, work is not always something bad, as long as you enjoy the work that you are doing. Through finding your yourself and your purpose in life, you can achieve your own individual fulfillment. When you enjoy your life (and the work you do in your life) you will more easily be able to bring happiness and strength to other people. Yes, work brings money and money can buy you happiness, but to what extent? Supporting, loving, and caring for your your family and friends will bring the biggest joy in your life. Because money will not listen to your problems when you've had a bad day or make you laugh when you are sad. The best way to see work is to embrace everything it has to offer. Work should be something you love so that it will never seem like a chore. If you pursue what you love and try your best at it, money will come naturally (and even if it doesn't, you will be happy because you will be doing what you love). If you pursue something that you love, work will never be a negative thing and you will feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment and success at the end of every day.

The cluster of words in this image shows all the reasons why we work. We will be working for the rest of our lives. The words that I would use to describe why we work are family, accomplishment, love, self-worth, and success. Success is the one that I agree with the most because I feel that if we are successful at what we do then we will love doing our job. If we feel that we are not successful at our job then we feel its not worth trying anymore. If we love our job then all of the other words just fall into place. We should always try our best at what we do because in the end we will have a sense of accomplishment which gives us self-worth. If I accomplish something I always feel better about myself because I know I tried my best. Having a vocation is one thing and loving your vocation is another. Loving our vocation is very important to be successful in life. I don't want to be one of those people who go to work because they have to, I want to be the person who goes to work because I want to and enjoy it.

This image represents a puzzle, that when put together, shows the balance a person will find when they focus their intentions of work in the right places. I think this image shows that the most apparent reason that we work is for money, but money is not the whole part of the puzzle, its just one piece. We also work for family, self-worth, to support and for support, love, to have purpose, and many other things. Although money is important, we have all of these other factors that we cannot forget about, or our lives will be incomplete, and we will be unable to fulfil our own calling in life. Personally, I want to work so that I can help others, and give not only my children, but also the people I help the opportunity for a better future. I want my career to be something i will engjoy, and I will try to be the best at what I do. In my career I want to feel accomplished and emphasize my sense of self-worth. If I try to work on the personal part of my career, focusing on the relationships I have, I think that all of the parts of the puzzle will fall into place.

Work does not define who you are unless you let it. It should be something you enjoy, but you must also make sacrifices for whats best for you and the people you care about. This image, I feel, expresses a very broad opinion of why we work. Some of the words that standout, I do agree with, but some are a result of what must come first. For example, my preferences and purpose towards fulfilling my work as a vocation is a combination of: Autonomy-sense of self, Future-sense of direction, and Purpose-sense of meaning. Through autonomy we discover self-worth, independence, and diversity. Through the future we build up experience, success, and responsibility. Lastly, through purpose we prove that our family, friends, and loved ones create a solid focus for our own lives. They are the reason we are motivated to work, and push us to be the best possible person we can be. Not necessarily creating balance, but finding meaning in work to provide a wonderful family in the future.

In my opinion the image generated in class accurately displays the reasonings behind work. We work to support our families and make living comfortable. We also work in order to have a purpose in life and a sense of accomplishment. We work for our future and security later in life. The aspects of the image that identify with when fulfilling my work as a vocation are: Enjoyment, Family, Support, and Happiness. I think all of these things are important when trying to fulfill work as a vocation. I think the main purpose of work is to support ourselves, and the other people in our lives. We must work in order to take care of the members of our family, and ensure that their needs be met. However, work should also give you a sense of enjoyment. We should be able to realize the value of work, and embrace it in our lives.

When looking at this image, I am reminded of the reasons why, we as people, perform the task of WORK. There are many different vocations that have people working for the same goals. There are three reasons that I feel work should satisfy. To me, you should ENJOY your job, you should feel a sense of SELF-WORTH from your job, and you should ultimately be able to provide for your family with your job. To be happiest at work you have to love what you do. You have to be energized and motivated with the tasks that your job entails. So many people are too engulfed in the thought of tons of money that they take jobs that don't necessarily make them happy. When you perform a job you should feel accomplished and a sense of self-worth. Like you are needed and make a difference. Lastly, the most important reason to work to me is to be able to provide for your family. When working I believe your income should satisfy the standard of living for your family, because these are the most important people to us. Work keeps us young and reaps benefits; but it is one thing that shouldn't be abused.

In my opinion, i think what our class came up with as our work ethics are very accurate. The main purpose on why we work is obviously money, but it is how we use our money that is most effective. You work to support the family and your life. I personally believe family and security is the reason why i work and will continue to work in my future. I want to live a happy fulfilled life, but also i want to feel secure with the life i have basically paid for. Work should also be enjoyed because it is what you will be doing everyday. In order to work effectivly and happily you need to enjoy what you do. And in order to do that, you need to use your strong talents in what you work for. We should all want to work, not for ourselves, but also to embrace what we do, and effect peoples lives in the process.

I believe that if you find a career that you love then your work is yur vocation. It doesn't have to be a big, corporate job but can be small and comfortable. As long as you love what you do then it shouldn't matter. Sure there are people that say that money is happiness but that means that they never really looked at what was important in their life and what they are working for. Everyone works for money but if you make that your main concern in life then you forgot about the other reasons for working. I, personally, work for my family, love, and purpose. Working for your family shows that you truly care about your family and that they will come first always. Working for love means that you love what you do and enjoy wakin up everyday to go to work. And finally, working for purpose gives you that feeling that you are doing what God called you to do and I don't think any other feeling could be better than that.

In this image, words are given that were our classes goals, motivators, and purposes why we work. In the picture there is a range of different things that push us to works. Whether it be supposrt, money, or "girls". Each one of us is called to do something we love and our life is a journey to find that. Work is something that combines ones unique talents and work ethics to create a job one loves waking up for. A job may not be what is thought to be a money making job but as long as that person is happy in their life that is all that matters. For me, my main purposes to work are my future and enjoyment. I go to school everyday because i want to have a good future for myself. I look forward to having a family to support just like i have been supported and can only do that if i work towards my future goals each day. Enjoyment is necessary in any job. I have seen way to many people hate their job. In my eyes, if one has control over where they are to work every single day for most of their lives then that person should pick something that inspires them!

I feel that people these days think they are obligated tol work beccause this country has had a long history and tradition of hard work and accomplishment. In our lives poeple feel they must go to school, learn, choose a career, and work in that career or job for a large part of their life in order to be able to support themselves and a family if they choose to marry and raise one. If people didn't work, they would have no money, no future, no support, basically no value, no self worth, and ultimately no purpose in life. All of these words help define what working is all about, what its for, why we do it, and what it provides us with. All people have the talents to help others, but using them is where our career may come into place. One may not actually be "hired" or "work for" someone, but if they are doing good in the world for them and for others, and if they have pride in whatever good that they are doing and feeling a sense of self worth, then that is their calling in life, their everyday work, and their job.

One thing that I don't like about the image is how "Money" really stands out. Its such an obvious reason. I do not think we should put so much stress on it. There are more important reasons why we work. People work to sustain needs like food, clothing, and shelter. They also work to support a family which they love. Yes, we need money in today's society. Some of the hardest workers do not earn the most money, though. This is why we should develop other reasons to work and other ways to measure hard work. If you only work for the money and focus solely on it, you are forgetting the reasons that fuel your desire to earn money, like your wife/husband and children.

When I look at this image the one word that really stands out to me is Self Worth. I think its the most important becuase of the high standards of a person. It is the highest you can achieve becuase you are doing it for the dignity or yourself and family. Since you have worked so hard in school to get a good job you deserve all the credit you do in school and at work. Its not also about Money. yet it is a very important part of life you need to support and keep your family together. The most important is the dignity of yourself and how much effort you put forth in what you do. All that matters is your acievements, standards, family support, self support, and the efficiency you put up for in your life.

The words in this image describe why we work. Each of these words describes the preferences of each person. In this picture I really like how support stands out to me because the reason why most people work is because people want to support their families an make a living. If people do not work then they are not helping themselves out. Some people think that work is a negative thing to do and say because it is work and no everyone likes to work. But if work can get accomplished and that person is doing it for people who they love the most then it is also positive. I personally think that enjoyment must be visible in life when it comesto work because if you are not happy with who you are working with or the type of work that you are doing then you should not be working at that typ of job. Work is something that you have to feel obligated to do, but at he same time family is where te enjoyment really is. No one should really focused on just work because that is not when anyone is happy.

When I look at this picture obviously the first word I see is money. I really dislike how that is the first word I recognize. Obviously for some people money is their main and only reason to work. But for some like me it is not the only reason I work. For me the other big words like Family, Love, Support, Future, Self-worth, and Purpose mean much more to me. I do look at those words next but if I were to do this picutre for my personal self, the word Self-Worth would be the largest. I work so that I can feel accomplished. I think that now-a-days people have lost touch of the true reason why they work. People start to look past reasons like support and self-worth and look more towards money and greed. Todays society needs to realize that there are better reasons to work than just for money. If they focused on other things and had a happy balance between everything then the money would come all in good time. I think that if people did that then when students brainstormed money would not have to be made the largest thing on the picuture.

The first thing that i see is money. I believe that money is the sole reason why we work. even though some people enjoy their career choice, money is the only reason why there is work. without money, the things that people like to do would be simply hobbies or activities. if money was not a priority, work would not be work, it would simply be an activity. i believe that money is the driving force behind work and makes it what it is.

the image is showing the fulfilling work as a vocation. The first word that comes out to me is family. Family is really important to me, and my parents always say family first. I feel like that is what im working for is for my family. I need to work to help my family live a better life and have shelter and food.Another word that pops out at me is Support. Support yourself and your family by working. Also in the image, love pops out at me. lOve is really important. Your have to love what you are doing and you have to love what you are working for. You are going to be working for most of my life so i better love what i am doing. You have the choice to love or hate your job. The big word that pops out is money. Money is a way to keep your family in a nice house and not in the street. But you should never stress out about it. It takes time but if you love your job and work hard you will get what you deserve.

The first word i saw in this image was family. I believe we do work for family. To provide for our familes. However i also believe that work can make families fall apart. You have to be able to balnce life out where you work, but also take time out for family. That time should have nothing to do with work or money. Money is important to raise a family and provide for your family. However you should never treat money like a family member. It is important, but not nearly as imporatant as family is. Also if you do smoething you love, chances are you will be able to balance out family and work because you will look at life as a mission. A mission to work, but also keep family as number one in your life.

in this group of words, the one that stands out to me the most is SUPPORT. whether we have a family of our own or we are living on our own, we have to support something or someone. whether we are supporting ourselves to be able to have a place to live in, food to eat, or just the things that we desire, we are supporting that cause nonetheless. another word that stands out to me is PURPOSE, SELF-WORTH, and INDEPENDENCE. all of these terms are common to us, as seniors, now. this is all we talk about. what are you doing to do for a career? are you ready to be on your own? who are you going to be? our school has drilled these questions into our brains so much that once we even so much as hear the word "college", we automatically shut down and zone out. college at this point to us could be a haven, where we escape our parents and finally be on our own, or it could be a hell, where we are bombarded with applications, deadlines, and the fear that we are not ready to move out. i know, personally, i am itching to get out of the house, but i am not sure that i am ready. i am afraid i will get myself into finacial trouble because i did not listen to what my mother taught me while i was in high school. but i do know why i am so eager to go to college. i know what i want to do; i want to go into graphic design. and i know that i am talented at taking the pictures and adding the words to portray the image in a different way and make it compelling to the viewer. i love art. and i know i have a talent in art. my mom has accepted that i may not be rich, when i am out of college. but i will be very happy with my job.

In Many ways i can agree with the image that our classes created with the words we associated with work.I have to say i agree with the biggest word on the page which is money. Everything we do in life involves money somehow. We cannot start a family or support a family which are two words that are greatly associated with work unless we have money. In addidion, I feel that purpose is a main reason people work. In my opinion, i want to know what my purpose is in life, and having a career and a job will help me figure that out. Also, even though it wasn't one of the main words, I think that many people work for security. The security that they can provide for their family, the security that they have a purpose in life, and the security that they have a future that is hopefully bright. Enjoying one's job is especially important though because if a person does not enjoy what they are doing, they will only do what is the minimum requirement and not try to excede expectations. I have learned from my dad that sometimes a job can take over a person's whole life so they have no time for family. I know i want to make a lot of money in the future and enjoy having a secure job, but I know from personal experience that family should be the main reason one works. And a person's job should not come first. I will always put my family first since my dad did not. Rich or middle class, I want to enjoy my job, my family, and be fulfilled in my work whatever i choose to do.

There is so much to take in when you look at this picture. Each word stands for a completely different situation then the one next to it. Of course the biggest word is the biggest problem in our world today. MONEY will always be a determining factor in our lives. It will determine the sacrifices we have to make and the dreams we have to sacrifice. This imagine defines all the aspects that motivate us to work. I wasn't there the day we gave reasons to work but looking at the image i agree with alot of what was said. There are a couple words that stick out for me. My personal preferences include: LOVE FAMILY DREAMS PURPOSE SUCCESS HAPPINESS. First off to be SUCCESSful in life you have to LOVE what you do. When I go in to the work force, I want to wake up every morning loving what I do, because if i don't my life lacks a PURPOSE. I feel my PURPOSE in life is to help other, right now my DREAM is to become a nurse so I can help others. But who knows if that's what I will be, only the time can tell. Regardless if I am a nurse or not I know I will find HAPPINESS if I am helping others. Ultimately, I want my vocation to be one that can support my FAMILY and one that let's be spend time with my FAMILY because in the end family is the most important. Overall I know if I find my PURPOSE, believe in my DREAMS, LOVE what I do and LOVE my family, I will be SUCCESSful and I will find HAPPINESS.

When I look at this picture I can view the reasons why, we as people, work today. It is apparent that money and success are two aspects that we need to have in our lives to be able to provide for not only ourselves, but for the ones we love as well. Many people are different and and have a variety of reasons why they work and do what they do. For me, I feel that the most important word in the picture is AUTONOMY. I know it is not the biggest word or the one that stands out the most, but autonomy is the important to me. With autonomy, I will be able to find myself and realize what I am good at and take that knowledge and put it towards my work. If you do something that you love to do with Passion and the drive, it is a known fact that you will be successful, and with success everything else will follow. The paychecks and money will build up, the security and providing for a family will grow, and the hope for a better and fulfilling future will come true.

I think the image shows where our priorities are when it comes to working hard. When I look at the image, I see "support" as one of the words that stand out to me. My purpose of working is to help support myself financially as much as I can. Although my parents help me with the payments on my car and gas, I'm responsible for paying for everything else, from clothes to going out for food. I also work because I think it's asked of me to work as hard as I can while keeping up my grades in school. It also teaches me to work for what I want and to help differenciate between my needs and wants. I prefer working and paying for things on my own because it helps me to start not being as dependent on my parents as I was before. It also eases me into the real world where I have to buy everything on my expense. I believe the reason why the word "money" is so large on the image is because for people around my age, we're starting out to pay for things on our own now.

The picture is full of different kinds of drives a person can have for working. The biggest words are the most common drives of our class and most likely a large number of adults. We work for the stability of our families and stability of ourselves to have the best in life. I feel the most important is self-worth or autonomy. You need to feel alright with yourself before you go and help other people. If you better yourself and obtain knowledge to have a successful future then you can better your family. Once you review over all the reasons why we work, you realize that the most important ones all lead back to your family. I also work to find myself and find my passions in life. Once I find myself, i can see what i love to do and find a suitable job for me. I am already on the path of that and have realized a lot of my talents and interests. If i'm content with how i work and what i work as, i will be successful and be able to support my future family and self later on in life. Sadly, money is the biggest reason we work. Of course money is important to survive but it shouldn't come out on top because you can become too obsessed with money and lose the real site of importance. You have to make the money, not let the money make you. In the end, follow your dreams and you will be rewarded your happiness.

I desire to work because I have a passion for what I am going to do. Even thought when I look at the picture I see Money first, that is not my own personal first priority. I am going to choose to work in a profession that I know I will love and want to work in for the rest of my life. Although money is necessary to live a good life, my family and friends are my only true source of happiness. So many people nowadays only desire to work for money and they will work long hard hours in order to get to the top. Yet, they often miss the big picture of life which is not money but Family, Support, Love, Self-Worth. That is what I desire for my life and my family is something worth working for because in the end, that is the only way I can be happy.

obviously we see that people work mostly for money. But if we put the biggest words together in a sentence, we get "People work for MONEY to SUPPORT their FAMILIES, FUTURE, and their SELF WORTH" Yes, life is about paying bills and putting food on the table, so it is important to see work as a way of doing that for youself and for your family. But not always should we look at work as just a way to get money. We should look at the fine print of the picture and notice that though small, these reasons of why we work would make a person more satisfied, more hapy with their life. For example, i see the small words "dreams, fame, hobby, satisfaction, honor, happines, and talents" as a few ways of why we work. If we focus on these reasons more than money, we can be a happier person. I personally want to look at my job and say i love it because it is what i want to do, and what i love to do. I want to wake up every morning and not cringe, thinking that i need to go to work, but excited for the day ahead of me, becaus i GET to go to work. But of course, i will always put my family and friends and faith before my work ethics.

I find it interesting that what the seniors view of why people work ios money. Money is a reason to work but I don't think that it is the most important. In many cases Money can be included in other reasons. For example money and food are similar. You need money to buy food. In my opinion the reson "money" is to vague. Whereas food is more specific. I put as the reason why i think that we work is for purpose. Everyone feels like they have a reason to be in this world and not everyone knows why. We work to help find out who we are, what we stand for and what our purpose is. I think that the other main reasons are good too, self-worht, enjoyment, support, future, success, family, etc. We must all realise that money does seem like an apparent reason to work but it is not the most important. We need to make sure that we always put our family, friends, and beliefs before our work.

In my opinion, I believe all of the words we came up with perfectly describes why we work. For me, I work for self-worth and to make a difference. I want to find a vocation I love. When we do something we love we have more enthusiasm for it and we get a lot more out of it. We go to work because we want to, not because we have to and need money. Sure money is nice, but in the big picture the people in your life and the strong relationships you have with them, matter the most. In life I want to LOVE what i do, help my FAMILY, have a PURPOSE, make a change, and have self-worth. If i keep these priorites straight, I will have a happy successful life and find a vocation that is best for me.

The first word I saw when I saw this image was Support. I think we work for not only our support to support our families. We need to work in order to support a home, food, clothing, and everything in order for our family to survive, hence the second word i saw family. Work also creates a sort of self-worth. I think when we work it gives us confidence, and makes us feel as if our life is worth something. We do something we love, also another word on the image. We try to get a job including something that we love because we will probably be doing it for the rest of our lives everyday. There are plenty of other words that describe work from this image, but one I think is significant is money. It’s separate from the rest, because money, to the world, people think is the most important, but in reality it’s not. What truly matter are all the other words such as family, happiness, comfort, honor, accomplishment, etc. Money doesn’t necessarily create these things, and I think that work shouldn’t just be all about it, it should be incorporated with all the other things in life, not just wealth.

When I looked at the picture, the first things i went to read were the really small words. And i probably did this because I usually pay attention to details such as the smaller things i work for rather than the obvious goals and values. I think about how the career i choose can have a positive outcome and can fill my vocation of work by helping out others and giving back to society. I want to be an architect and design homes for people. What better way to give a gift to someone than to give them their most personable and valuable gift. I would be happy to build something that i know would be enjoyed and valued for family after family such as a home that can be passed on in society.

It is obvious that money is an important part of why I am going to work. I am also going to work because if I didnt there would be nothing to do every day and I'd get really bored. I don't know if I'm going to enjoy my job, that's not really my goal. I'm going to major in things I'm good at and if a fun career stems from that fantastic but if not, whatever as long as it pays enough. I don't plan to let a job drag me down, and by that I mean I will probably do other things that are enjoyable like skydiving and such. The purpose of work in my opinion is to support yourself, get something useful done, and have some exrra money to have fun in your life and maybe support a family if that's what you want to do.

I think family would drive me to work. I love the feeling of pulling through for others when they count on me. The feeling of having a family is what a man ultimately wants. If i can work and keep family and God before all things working would barely seem like something to do, it would seem more of something i get to do. the results from hard work is being able to put clothes on backs, roof over heads, and food in bellys.

It does not surprise me that money, support, family, future, self-worth and purpose were the top reasons given as to why we work. Work is such a major part of our lives because of all of those things. We need money in order to obtain our basic needs- in order to survive. We also desire to create an ideal living environment for our families. We want to be able to provide for them and help create a secure future for them as well as ourselves. There is also a desire in us to show the world who we truly are. We want to feel like we are important and know that our life is headed somewhere. All of these things are inherent and are part of human nature; they are really beyond our control. We would never choose to willingly sacrifice any of these ideals. They are our central beliefs and we know they are part of our calling as human beings. However, I was also happy to see that enjoyment was another top reason for our work. I personally live by the words of Confucius that say, “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I think it is extremely important to love the work you do. If you don’t, you can’t be passionate about it and you will never live life to the fullest of your full potential. I also believe that philanthropy should be a reason behind our work. Our lives are not meant to be used to serve only ourselves but our brothers and sisters in humanity as well. It is evident that enjoyment and philanthropy are the driving forces behind why I work based on the job I have over the summer. I am involved at a summer camp for children with special needs. It is strictly a volunteer job- I have never been paid to do it. However, I absolutely love it (and I’ve never actually thought of it as work), and seeing all of the kids have a good time and grow in the process means more to me than money ever could. I know these ideals will be the motives behind my work in the future as well.

What stood out to me on the image were not the superficial words like "Money". What I really took notice of was the word "Satisfaction". Satisfaction fulfills all the requirements a job should have to meet a person's needs, like financial stability and a feeling of accomplishment. Any job that a person has should provide them and their family with the money they need to live a comfortable and happy life. In addition, a job should also make a person feel as if they've made the right choice with their life, and they're on a path of personal enjoyment. The perfect job shouldn't just be about the money, and it shouldn't be selfish in that it can't provide for an entire family. The perfect vocation is a balance. In addition, I also feel as if you should work toward a goal, aiming for a successful future. The reason I work hard in school is so that the outlook for my future is bright.

This image tells me several different things about why people work, some good some bad. From looking at the image, I feel like for the most part people work to support their family and for money. This image reflects why people work and tells you so much about people in society, such as who they really are, do they really care about themselves or the people they look out for in life. My preferences and purposes towards fulfilling my work as a vocation are doing something I love. Sure I want to be able to support my family, make a ton of money, but I dont believe money always brings happiness. I can make all the money in the world but hate my job, that would not make me happy. So I want to be able to enjoy my work and look forward to going everyday. I want to be able to work with people and get along with my colleagues. Right now I want to work for my future. Im working towards achieving goals that will help me in the long run.

Going of to college everyone is going to eventually have to decide what they would like to go into and this will turn into a job. In todays world everyone wants to be succesful, which there is no problem with that as long as you dont put one in front of another. This is a big problem in todays society because everyone is materialistic wanting to have the newest everything. The picture shows thd top few words as all relating to money in some sort of way. Me on the other hand i am going to college to just pursue my dreams, success will come with the field i want to go into, but i will always be there for my family. Because they give me a solid foundation in my life

As we listed the many reasons for why we work, the ones that stood out the most are the obvious, such as money and supporting ones family. I feel that the words listed above go hand in hand in making the working person. Of most important, it is necessary to love ones work and to feel good about it each day as that person gets up to go to his or her job. If someone loves their job everything else from the list just falls into it. It makes life so much easier, since it really isn’t even like “work” its enjoyment and something that makes you happy. For me, I think that happiness is a word that should be in bolded letters, because if someone isn’t happy at their job it makes everything in their life possibly come to a crumble, therefore not fulfilling any of the other adjectives used to describe work. In reality it all goes hand in hand, if someone is lacking the main things in their life, then everything else will come to a halt.

Besides money standing out as the biggest most important word in that cluster, self-worth stood out first for me. Working gives a person a good sense of self-worth and makes them feel important. It allows people to give back to society and makes them well respected. Someone who contributes to society will be looked up to and seen as a good role model. I think money is another important reason to work because it makes it possible to have a family, leisure activitites, needs and necessities, a future, and success. It may be materialistic but money is the main reason why most people work. It helps tremendously in making other parts of your life work, such as family.

Everybody has differnt talents, abilities, and interests that are given to them by God. We then take these special qualities given to us, and use them to help fulfill our dreams. We all have different goals, values, and things we want to get out of life. However, most of us work for the same reasons. To me success is not a destination you reach and the end of your life-long journey, but it is the little things that you accomplish on the way. If you reach a goal, then you have succeeded, if you get enjoyment out of life then you have succeeded, if you are able to provide for your family then you have succeeded. All these things that you are able to do is what brings you happiness. Today, many people will pick a career based on how much money they will make instead of if they truly enjoy it. However, a job should be something which you enjoy. It should be something that excites you and that you are motivated to do. If this is the case, then the money issue will fall into place and somehow you will find a way to make ends meet. I find it very interesting that in the above picture the words form the shape of a fish. To the side of the fish is the word money. It is away from all the other words such as love, self-worth, support, family, purpose, enjoyment, success, etc. These words inside of the fish are the ones that we should be focusing on. They are what we should, and what God intended for us, to value, not money.

In my mind, work comes down to having self-discipline. I know people who love work and I know people to absolutely hate work. Either way people have different work ethics. There are people who like to work and push themselves, and then there are others who don't like to work and need to get pushed by others. I feel I fall right in the middle of these 2 categories because I am very disciplined , but I also like having support from others to get the job done. The main reason I work in school, on the field, and at my house is all for supporting my family. With my hard work, it will all add up in the end as a great accomplishment. It is amazing looking at all these words which are all related to why we work. One that sticks out to be, even though it isn't a big one, is character. Character is showing to everyone what you are worth as an individual. It stands out to me because if you have good character then I feel you will always be successful. Now it doesn't suprise me that money is the biggest word because everyone does have to work to get money to survive. However, when I go to college I will be picking a career that I know I will enjoy, not the one that makes the most money. I will work in a career that I will enjoy forever and I will not only do it for the money.

I believe that this image is a very accurate portrayal of why people work. From this image, it is clear that the majority of the people in the world only work for money. That is fine and very realistic, but I believe we should work for other reasons. Some of these other reasons are displayed prominently in this image such as self-worth, enjoyment, family, support, and future. The fact that these reasons are significant as well shows that many people are dedicated and hardworking (they just need money). Although we live in a world in which money is absolutely necessary, I truly feel that I work mostly for SELF-WORTH and ENJOYMENT. When I work I feel accomplished and that is one of the greatest feelings in the world. The second reason I work is for my FUTURE. I know that I will not get anywhere in life if I am lazy and rely on other people for money. I work so I can save money for college and after college. The third most important reason for why I work is SUPPORT. I will have to support myself after college and during college to some degree. Also, once I am married and have a family, I would feel very accomplished if I could help to support my family. I do not beelive it is fair to make the husband do everything so I want to work as well. Overall, work is a very important part of my life and I feel that the reasons for why I work define who I am and what I stand for.

This picture lists mostly all of the reasons why we work. When we first start working around our high school years we mainly are working for MONEY. Every teenager wants to have a job to gain a sense of PRIDE, be able to waste money when with their FRIENDS, and be able to buy items they WANT when their parents wont pay for them. Parents also want their teenagers to go out into the working world to LEARN and gain RESPONSIBILITY by working hard for their own money. As we get older we switch our views on why we work. We soon start working to SURVIVE, pay BILLS, SUPPORT our families, and our FUTURES. After that, people start to want to work just for a sense of SELF-WORTH, LOVE and PURPOSE. Our views of work change over time, but throughout years of working people start to focus not on the money but on the true VALUES of working and trying to make a difference in their life, others lives, and the world through their vocation. I know that trying to find my vocation, a job I love to do and will always want to do even if I never needed money, is going to be hard. I hope that over the years I am able to find my vocation and that I will be able to support my life, loved ones, and needs while making a difference in the world while loving every second of it.

What high school seniors personify as the dignity of work is exemplified in the image above. It is not a surprise that money is the boldest word that stands out the most. Money provides stability in everyday life. We need money to survive in with world. However, money should not be the main reason that we show up to work every day. To truly enjoy life, you must have many reasons that drive you to perform your best at your profession. My preference and purpose towards fulfilling my work as a vocation is my family and providing support. The main reason that I work so hard in school and outside of school is to gain experience for the future and to support my family. Of course I cannot support my family financially, but things like paying for my own gas and helping out around the house show my appreciation for the many opportunities that my family has provided me with. From work, responsibility and independence are created. Work should always be taken seriously which in turn will create a solid autonomy for oneself. Money does not bring happiness! For all those who work solely for money are truly missing out on the benefits that God has created for us in each profession.

As I look at the picture of why we work, many words pop out to me, some of which are more important to others. I feel that many people in the world who may not be as fortunate look at work as survival rather than enjoyment. Others look at work as their life. They may see it as more important than their family, and they may feel prosperity from work. I think that is the wrong way to look at it, howover. Though one needs to find happiness in their work, I do not feel that anything should overlook the importance of family. Work may come and go, but family is the thing that is always there to support you through the tough times. Family and values is what should drive people to work, not the money. For myself, currently fulfilling my work is honestly to support myself in college. Right now i do not seem to have a positive mindset in working, but I know how i want my future to be. I do realize the independent responsibility one takes on when they work, but in the future i want to be driven by something else other than money. Though I do not know at all what I want to do yet, what I do know is that I want to do something I love. It's just like school; I dread doing my least favorite subject and leave it until the very last second to do, while I will do homework for my favorite subject right away. In my future career, I do not want to dread waking up every day to go to work because I know I will not enjoy it. I want to enjoy what I do while at the same time supporting my family. I want to be able to say that I work so that I can gain my own self-worth and purpose in doing what I love every day of my life. I want to love what I do, but at the end of the day I know that coming home to my family is what I truly value the most.

Work helps others value yours and their talents. It is seen as an honor to prove your acceptance in responsibilities as a learner. There are many empty aspirations that work cannot fulfill. We seek to realize the school in the self, and the building of a character in preparation of independence. These lessons can express powerful enjoyment in relationships. Through self-worth alone one cannot pay for their life. Societal demands and the service provided by the network depends on the family accomplishment. Being open and willing in our connections and the fun has just begun. To balance the luxury and necessity, what we carry out secures how the atmosphere prospers.

The thing i get out of this picture is that there is a lot more to work than meets the eye. Of course the main purpose of work is to make money in order to sustain oneself, however, there are many reasons beyond that. Personally, I would not be able to work at anything for an extended period of time if i hated what i was doing. Enjoying your job eliminates the hassel of having to keep yourself interested. another reason i work is to give my life some meaning and according to the picture a lot of people also search for self worth within their work. Feeling like you have a purpose is very important for someone to feel in order for them to be mentally strong as an individual. Another reason i work is because i know that i am setting myself up to be successful in the future. By developing positive work ethics i can carry that over into every aspect of my life. Having a job develops character and can effect the kind of person that you are.

There is not one reason wrong for why we work. Everybody works for different reasons and that is why I like what our class came up with because we explored the diversity of what working is for us. The image clearly points out the main reasons but also highlights the little reasons. All of these words help me to put the things in my life into perceptive and focus through that lens of balance between family, faith, and work. My preferences and purpose towards fulfilling my work as a vocation is mainly for purpose. Without a purpose, I find no reason to work, however with a purpose, my perceptive of the important things in my life will be reached. Everything I do is to fulfill a purpose. The main purposes that I work to fulfill are to accomplish something, use my talents/skills, to provide for my basics needs/wants, give to others, and work towards the future to become successful. It is these purposes that help me to not focus on that lens of my life being centered on work only with loneliness. Instead it helps me to keep a balance of what’s important to me in life and strive hard working towards.

In my opinion, I feel the image we created strongly illistrates all the pieces to the puzzle of work. Why we work can be different for each person. What I personally feel is the most important aspect to work is loving what you do. If you really love your job, then all the other benefits and success can further grow as well. If you love your work then you know that you will always do everything in your power to be successful and never give up. Every person has struggles, but it is how we deal with these struggles that defines who we are as a worker. Only with hard work and dedication will you be able to achieve your goals and even reach your dreams. Although money clearly stands out when it comes to work, it is not everything. Yes it is important to supply a living for you as well as your family. However, how can you accomplish anything if you absolutely hate what you do. For me, I hope to one day find a job that not only makes a decent amount of income, but also one that portrays the many gifts and talents I have been given, and ultimately who I am as an individual.

Work is something everyone will have to do in life whether they like it or not. The image has some words which really pop out and money is obviously the biggest word. Money should not always be the number one reason why we work. While money is what we use to support our families I believe if people work just for the fact of making money then they aren't working for the full potential of the job. The word money is separated thought from the rest of the words which I like because you making money should be separate from the real reasons why we work. The main reason why I will work is to support my family and be able to give them what they need to live a comfortable life style. I want to be the provider and have my family knowing that I will not fail to support them. The work that you do should be something you enjoy because if you do not enjoy the job you are doing you will have long days and you won't get the full value. I work hard now in school so that my future is what I want it to be and not what I am forced into because I slacked in school. Hard work and dedication to your job and family will make your life easier in the long run, and always know that your family is number one in your life.

People work so many various reasons. Everyone has to work in one way or another every day of their lives. To me it is so interesting how the picture looks. I think it is significant that money is on the outside all by itself. To me it shows that most people work for money, but working for money is so superficial and is looking through the work lens first. But the bigger picture is we work for a bigger reason, to further help ourselves and others, which is what we accomplish by looking through the family lens. Also through our lives we start with the smaller words, we work to pay the bills and because we feel like we are forced to work in order to live. While we mature and go beyond the smaller words we achieve a better understanding of work and work for self worth and a purpose.

When i look at this picture is see a jumble of words but what sticks out most is money. as you can see money is big bold and on the outside of the bubble.when u look inside you see happiness and family and fun. money is on the outside because when your focused on money you are separated from the bubble. Money becomes your desire not family and friends. its great to work. everyone does it because they have to. but money does not buy you into that bubble. it will not buy you happiness. there is no substitute for people that make you happy and support you and everything else that goes in that bubble. most people that work hate there jobs. but if you notice the people that love there jobs, there the people making less money then the ones that hate there jobs. because there focused on the bubble, not a paycheck. if your job you love happens to make you a lot of money thats great, but be in the bubble looking out.

Money being the biggest reason that we work makes sense in that money can be used in several differnt ways. The best way to use money is to support a family. Nothing in todays world can be done without money. I know a family can transend monetary bounds but money is still needed to keep the family alive. This being the case, it encompasses the two other major reasons for why we work, support and family. The next biggest reason for why we work is self-worth. Depending on the individual, different forms of work help us fulfill a void in our every day lives. Instead of wondering aimlessly through our lives, we feel like we are ment and needed to perform a specific task. The best example of this is the dream job that we all wanted when we were ten. We felt thsat becoming, lets say, a fireman was our lifes calling and we needed to prepare for that job right then and there. This will probably carry on to most of our careers.

When I look at the wordle, it is very clear what having a job translates to the class body: money. Money is the main reason people have jobs, and the sheer size of the word shows that it trumps any other reason to have a job. However, when one looks into the 'fish' of having a job, you can start seeing other reasons for maintaining a job in oyur life. Many of these reasons are small, but i find their significance 100 times larger than the reason of money. Words like Support, Family, and Self-Worth mean much more to me becuase they are true reasons for a job; to help support your family and keep them fed and sheltered, and to make yourself successful and self dependant. These are the type of reasons that make someone want to work, working for the sheer reason to obtain money will not make you happy and it will make you hate your job. Your profession must have the qualities in the 'fish' in order for you to enjoy your job, then and only then can you add the money aspect in order to have a job that does not solely depend on it. For me personally, in order to do a job correctly and efficiently i must enjoy what I am doing; this goes much deeper than simply earning money. To make a job a voaction, it must give me the feeling of pride, fulfillment, and most importantly, happiness. When people choose a profession to dedicate thier life to,they almost always overlook the 'fish' qualities and job right to the monetary aspect; if people were to take the time to look at the deeper reasons of owning a job, they would be much happier with thier lives.

At our age and experience level I think this image perfectly portrays our outlook on work and the reasons why we want or need to work. For most of us, money is the main reason we work and it is the initial incentive that pulls us into the workforce. We all have our different circumstances and this alters the question, "Why do we work?" Some may say that they need or want to help support their families or just themselves and be less of a financial burden on their parents or guardians. Others may just seek extra cash to be able to do everything and buy everything without relying upon their parents. This includes all those luxuries and such which leads us to gain independence as well. Some of us want the experience and opportunities a job has to offer. As we get older we realize how important it is to be hard-working, dedicated, and have experience that will give us the upper hand in certain situations. In addition, some of us consider service to others our work and their main goal isn't money but to benefit others and have a distinct purpose. And then there are some of us who purely enjoy work and the respect they gain by holding the responsibility of a job. No matter what the reason is, we all feel accomplished after work which increases our self-worth. Some of the reasons many stand out on the surface to some and others look for the reasons that are lesser or a little bit more hidden. Regardless, work has great meaning and through this jumble of words, we can realize that somewhere we all have a place to fit in. (I wasn't in class friday when we discussed this in detail so I hope this was what you were looking for.)

For me, work is enjoyable. I firmly believe that in order to perform your job the best it can be done, you have to love what you do. It is not suprising at all that money is the largest. The saying is true that "money talks". Some people chose a career and work enviroment for the sole reason to gain alot of money. It is ironic however, that money is seperate from the other words. It is the most powerful yet isolated as well. You make make alot of money but not have any of the other reasons people work and not be fully happy with your life. Love and Support are bigger words as well. We work because we love it as well as it helps us support the ones that we love especially later on when we have families of our own. Future and Purpose also stick out. We work soley to help us have a better future, to better our lives, and better the lives of those around us. If we had the option to never work and live comfortably nobody would work. The fact is we have to work to help protect and satisfy ourselves and those who are major influences in our lives. Family is a major driving factor as well. They are motivation when you need support and in turn we support them. All the words used in the picture relate to our feelings about work in one way or another. We all strive for different things but many times we have similar lables for the things we work for. If you can incorporateas many of these traits as you can in your life, you are on your way to finding one's balance. For some people work is just a word or an action but for me it is representative of my friends, family, and future.

Most work for the green... others work to support the ones they love... and there are those who do both. I would consider my self to be both. The big reason is everybody needs money to survive; buying food, clothes, and other necessary items. However I don't just work because I need to, I work because if I want to have fun with my friends, go places, and visit people and do the things I like to do then I must make money. The thing is you may not like the job you do, but just for the sake of needing the green to live means your going to work your hardest at the job even if you hate it. Theres an old Polka song that I listen to and theres a line that says you need to keep your position even though it may not be what you want. This can be especially true since the economy has headed south and may not be getting better for a while, people are desperate for jobs which may awaken you to think and be grateful for the jobs you have that support your very life.

The picture that we came up in class with all the different reasons we work seems to revolve around the word money. The word money however wouldnt get accomplished in the work place unless someone had desire, and purpose to work. Without purpose and self desire to accomplish great things in your life relating to your job teh thought of having an income would seem far off. If someone had no purpose to get up everyday and got to work and try to be better at their job to hopefully earn a raise, then the thought of money wouldnt even be due to the fact that they didnt want to get up and work. Purpose isnt just relating to the person who is working it can also relate to those he or she is working for. If someone as a family that becomes a big reason/purpose to work. He or she feels the need to provide for their family and therefore goes and gets a job and makes money to support ther family. Purpose can also mean that someone feels like someone needs them. As a young man i know when i feel that someone needs my help and asks me to work for them i feel empowered to work and even more excited to get the task done. This idea of purpose is a main reason that i choose to work in my life. I enjoy having a purpose in life whiethre that would be as a student or as a employee somewhere. If i am not working towards a goal my life is not complete.

Everyone works but a whole lot of people never really know why. Not enough people are happy with their work, and even less people truly see there work as a vocation. Work should be a living extension of oneself, a marriage of faith, passion, and purpose. It should not just be about money, but it must be because this is the way our fine world works. We live in a service economy yet we do not do enough service for others. So many people feel that immense pressure to find self-worth and purpose, to be rich, that they end up taking jobs they think other people will accept. They want other people to look at them and say "that person has a purpose to what they do" and indeed they may, though that purpose may be little more than to placate a judgemental public. That is not working, that is not fulfillment. This is why so many feel alone and desolate, because they pledge their lives to cause that are not their own. Work is an individual action, it must have its own worth for each person. You can see this in our wordle, because sure, there are multiple words that are said multiple times that can be viewed as "commonalities" - but how fulfilled would the people who said a word that was never repeated by another feel if we only defined work with the ten most common words?

Money, support, self- worth, and enjoyment have always been reasons to why people work. Some do it for the thrill. Others work because they have nothing else to do. But, somehow someway work seems to fill a void that is evident in our lives. Work enables us to learn new things, meet new people, and gain a feeling of self-worth. Nothing is better then the realization of finishing a hard task and being rewarded for it. Even if money is the largest word in the cluster, without having a job that truly makes you happy you will never be truly content with your life. For me money is important, but a feeling of self-worth and enjoyement are more fufilling than anything money can buy me. Work can be stressfull and a pain at times, but things like money, self-worth, and enjoyment are always there to drive us to work.

This picture, I think, is very accurate in showing what motivates people to work. Of corse, we work for money. Money is used to support our families and ourselves. But we also work for the feeling it gives us. Work makes us feel like we have worth and motivation to get up every day. Therfore we should enjoy our work, you don't want to get up every morning dreading the day ahead of you. The most important words in this picture in my opinion are self worth, family, and money. I don't think i'd need alot of money to be happy and content with my life, just enough to get by and to support the ones i love.

In my opinion, I feel that the picture shows what is really important in life. If you look at some of the really small words, you will see words like power, vacation, and control. These are things that we really don't need but people strive for. On the other hand, in big print you see words like family, self-worth, love, and purpose. These are all things that we need in life and should be important to us. Jesus and faith were both words that were small and kinda pushed to the back which i feel relates to our society. Sometimes we get so caught up in making money that we almost push faith to the back. I think we need to change that as a whole and make that a bigger priority. Personally I feel faith and family are the most important factor as to why I would work. I know that if I work hard enough to provide for myself and my loved ones while still maintaining a strong relationship with God, I will ultimately be happy.

This image is a clear identification of our society and how people view work today. Money is the biggest reason why we work and in today's society money is very important, it is what feeds us, clothes us, shelters us. We must first work for money in order to save up for other things like vacations, families, hobbies, philanthropy, etc. Money is what drives most people to work, not necessary because they enjoy their job. I think a vocation is a career that you enjoy doing and that you are meant to do. When I think of a job I just think of something that you do to get money and prepare you for the future, a career or vocation is something that you want to do for the rest of your life and that you do for personal success or purpose. Personally I want to work to be successful and have self-worth and security. I want to enjoy what I do and feel accomplished after every day.

After analyzing the image, three words stuck out to me as to why we work. Purpose, support, and love. As humans, we believe that our lives have a purpose. Society sometimes looks down on those that do not work because they aren't living a meaningful life. When we work, we feel apart of something. The purpose of working is to support our family. Once we have a family, we are the ones who are supposed to take care of them. We support our families through a variety of things, such as food, clothing and even emotional things. Once we have a purpose and we can support our families, love comes naturally. However, as a teenager I work for self worth. I do not like relying on my parents for everything, and I feel that because I am almost an adult they shouldn't have to be giving me their hard earned money. I want to feel independent and prepared for what is to come when I enter the "real world." I know that my parents are very able to support me right now, but I feel that the extra things I buy should be paid for by me. Love, support, independence, self worth, and purpose will all come with hard work, but we must have that drive to reach that goal.

I believe that when you decide what you want to do as an ocuppation, you have to choose somthing that you love to do. You have to choose somthing that you will enjoy doing for the rest of your life. Once you learn what you want to do, then you find a job. Once you find a job, then you have to set priorities. The thing that comes first and will always come first is family. If you don't have family then you have nothing, friends will come and go but family will stay with you. Once you get married you need to learn how to support your family with your income, and still balence things so you spend time with them. Your second priority is your job, this no matter what comes second in your life. having a good job gives you self- worth, enjoyment, and purpose. If you complete everything then you will be sucessful, in life in general. You will have a very ballenced life where you like your job and your family loves you.

I feel this picture represents how my generation depicts working to be. This is a clear sign towards what we, my generation, will be valuing most in the work place or in general as adults. Money is the most obvious reason for why we work. I'm very afraid that we will get too caught up in the excitement of material goods and lose sight in what really matters, family. I have recently come across a moment in my life where I have to make a decision between doing what I love or doing what involves more income. However, I do have a long time before I have to make that decision, it does bother me this is happening so soon. I have begun weighing my options and am wondering if what I want is capable of supporting what I want even more, a family of my own. I know I am going against what I'm afraid of which is actually my source of fear. I think your job should be something you love to do, not your source of bringing in the big bucks. If you look at it that way you will not be a truly happy person.

The image we created in class depicts the reasons why we work, the smallest being the smaller reasons we work, and the larger ones being the biggest reasons why we work. In this picture we can clearly see that money is the most important reason why we work. We need money to support our families, buy things we desire, and to function in society. Perhaps our culture should put more emphasis on character, self-fulfillment, and being of assistance to others as reasons for working. If you do what you love with your life, money will come. If it is your dream to become a missionary and help people around the world, you will be provided for. My personal dream is to become a veterinarian so that i can care for animals. This became my dream long before i understood the worth of money. Many people today work for the wrong reasons in my opinion. No matter what you do with your life, you have to do what makes you happy and what helps make you the person you want to be in life.

Work is something we do to help form our identity. It is also something we do for all of the words that are displayed in the picture. The number one reason people work is for money. However, I choose to work for all of the little words that were talked about during class. When I would go job hunting, I looked for something that I would enjoy doing and not dread having to go to everyday. I work to show that I am a responsible adult by managing sports, school, and time for family and friends. An additional reason I choose to work is to show that I am independent because I am able to understand what it means to have a job and that this is one important step to becoming successful in the future. Another reason I choose to work is because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Whenever I receive a paycheck, it shows that all of my hard work and patience have paid off. I feel that the type of job you have helps to further characterize who you are along with your faith, family, and friends. This is the lens I look through each and everyday and this is how I shape my purpose for working. Money is an important aspect of work; however, these reasons are more important to me.

I think this picture accurately describes why people work. It shows what they think is important from doing their jobs. Money is almost 100$ of the time the number one reason for work, but there are a lot of other reasons too. I, like everyone else, want a job that will pay me well and that I enjoy doing, because I believe if you do something you do not like, you will not be happy. I want to better myself and better the world with the work I do.

This picture is very true of our purposes for working. I think that it is extremely appropriate that the word 'Money' is not a part of the rest of the picture because, in reality, we all need a job in order to ultimately receive all the other purposes. We need money to live. Without money a lot of the other goals tend to be pushed aside. I for one, will work in order to find a purpose. I believe that we all are searching for our purpose and work is one of the ways that we will find ourselves. Through work we will better the lives of people around us and fulfill our duty as Americans and children of God. We do only have the right to work, but with that right I think we should add responsibility. I believe that we as humans should all work because we have that wonderful opportunity to meet, help and serve others. My job will give me purpose and help me to formulate a bright future.

I believe this image accurately depicts our motives for working. Obviously, the most common answer was money. I predicted that this would be the most popular answer because of the huge emphasis placed on money in today's society. All around us there are stories of foreclosures, unemployment, and homelessness. These issues are relevant and place fear in our hearts. Therefore, we work so that we will have money so that we do not become part of the statistics. However, our motives for working should be much deeper. I am glad that words such as support, family, purpose, self-worth, and enjoyment are significant in this picture because these are the things that turn our ordinary work into a vocation. We should work to support our family, find our self-worth and purpose in life, and enjoy our lives. Those who only work for money are usually the ones who hate their jobs the most. My preference for working will definitely be to support my family. Every day I go to work I will have pride knowing that my family depends on me for food, shelter, and protection. With my work will come a sense of responsibility and a sense of fulfillment that will keep me focused and dedicated on my work. Money is important but family is on a whole other level. While I can lose money and get it back rather easily, once family is gone, it is gone forever. In this context, money cannot even measure up.

In the image, to me the most noticable words are money, Self-worth, support, family. These reasons make perfect sense to me as the most noticable because they seem almost required for today's society. Money is the most noticable reason because we cannot survive without money in this world. We need to get places and to do that costs money. We need food which costs money, too. Nothing in this world is free and we work so we have money to spend on things that we need. The second reason why we work is for self-worth. We work to show others we are important. We work because we want to know we have a purpose in life besides converting oxygen to carbon dioxide. Another reason to work is for support. When we work, we try to support ourselves so we are able to keep living and working. We also work to support our families. If we do not work, we have no way to support our family and cannot continue living in this world. We work to cover the basics of life, but we should work to do something we love and enjoy. If what you do is something you love, it will not even seem like work that you are doing. I plan to find a vocation where I can express my creativity and also my enjoyment of science and math. I have 2 ideas of careers I think will show this but I'm not sure if they will make me as happy as I hope they will. I think they will and these career ideas were thought of as I took into consideration the growth of my own family and how well I would be able to support my family. My vocation will hopefully make me happy, but I have several years to find out for myself what I feel would make me happiest in my life.

As you can see from this picture, there are many reasons for why we work. Although some people have different views or motives for why they work, they all somehow relate to one another. From this picture you can see that the number one reason for why we work is for money. This is a pretty obvious reason. Mostly people get jobs so they can earn money to live and provide for their families with the necessities they need. The other important words that really stand out, famly, self-worth, future, support, and purpose are also very good reasons to explain why we work. My preferences and purpose toward fulfulling my work as a vocation include purpose, love, and family. We work because we have a purpose in life to love and provide for our families. Even though money is very important and most of the time the main reason why we work, it is not always the most important thing in life. We Should always put ourselves and our family first and then money. Because without family, you won't have anything. Money can be replaced but family can't.

I believe that the main reason that we work is to obtain money. In the world today money is needed in order to live. We must use money to buy all the items that we need such as food, water, and shelter. Self-worth is an obvious main reason for working because we all want to feel like we are working for a purpose and knowing that our achievements mean something. My parents made me get a job to gain responsibility and it has helped me a lot. With my job I also receive money. Money has helped me to be able to buy whatever I want without having to bother my parents. Working is a major part of life today and in the future I will need to balance my work with my family and friends. I want to be able to focus on God first then myself and then others. I believe that the balance will truly help. I hope to be a doctor so that I can help others. I do not want to get so involved in my work that I forget about my family tho which is how I know that balancing will help a lot in the future. Being a doctor is not about the money, I want to be a doctor to use my gifts and talents of kindness to help everyone.

The words in this image that stand out to me the most are purpose, support, and success. These three things are the reason I will work. I will work for my self worth and to find my purpose in life. I go through schooling so that someday I can fulfill my purpose in life and find a satisfying job. Working will help support myself and a family someday. My family will count on me to support them with their daily needs and wants. I hope that one day I can have a job I feel completely happy with. To me, this is success and one of the most important things I could ask for in a job. Although, working later in life is important i feel as though I should alwasy put my family before money and work. Without a family, my future money will have no one to support.

In the words image, the words self-worth, family, and purpose stand out to me the most. In my opinion, those three are the most important reasons to work because working to support a family is the most important thing in an adults life. Family members are the most important people in life because you can't choose them, and they'll always be there. Everyone wants the people around them to be happy and successful, and when you work for you're family you are able to give them food and a safe place to live. Working also gives a person self-worth. It's in our nature to not want to accept handouts and other charities. Even though it is a good thing to accept help and put pride aside sometimes, self-worth is proving, even if only to yourself, that you can do something worthwhile. To me self-worth and purpose go hand in hand because when you're working for a purpose that is proving yourself. Working hard to achieve goals and fulfill a purpose is very important, and when you reach a goal that is giving yourself worth.

This picture has multiple reasons as to why we are drawn to work. The most obvious answer is cast aside, money. Since ancient times money has been the concern of many. Money is the way we can acquire sustenance. Money is the way we can maintain a residence. In some cases money has been synonymous with happiness. Money is absolutely necessary for survival in the modern-day world. The other reasons are reactions to our obtaining money. For example, money protects and feeds our families. Only through work do we obtain money. Although I currently do not work, my working experience as an adolescent was solely for money. However, I am personally drawn to family out of all the words listed in the picture. Family to me is the most important responsibility I will have to tend to in the entirety of my life. My work and the money I earn, the credibility of my work, will fall back to my family. Nothing else will really compare to my family, because my family will bring upon the majority of my happiness in my life. I will be called to serve my family and be an example to my children. Although they may be a thankless jobs, but being a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, etc., are jobs that are worth working for.

I believe the image that we generated in class accurately depicts the reasons for why we work. Money is a huge reason why we work. Without money we could probably not survive. Money is important but it is not the most important. Family is something money could never even scratch the surface of. Family is such a driving force for why we work. We need to support our families and be capable of being depended upon. If you did not have a family or someone to support, there really is no reason for working besides surviving and trying to get ahead in life.I wish i could say that money is not as important as it really is but it is what keeps us alive. Money keeps us alive but family makes us happy and complete.

This image shows the many reasons why we work and why we should work. The largest and most obvious reason to why work is money. We all need money to survive and some may think that money is the most important reason to why we work. I know that when I am on my own and have a job I will be working for more than just money. I will be working to support my family. One of the major reasons of having a job is to be able to support the ones that you love and to make sure that you will be able to provide for their needs. The words that stand out to me most are family, love, and happiness. There will be days when I don't want to get out of bed and go to work, but I will remember why I am working and will be motivated to get out of bed and provide for my family. As long as I think about the reasons that I am working, I will always be able to get out of bed and go to work to support my family ~

This collage of words gives the many reasons that a person would work. I believe that work should bring not only money, but should fulfill your ambitions the most. I hope to love my line of work after I graduate from highschool. As of now, my current job is more of a chore than anything, it is simply a way to bring in money that I need for college or going out. I hope that after I graduate from college, I will find a career that brings me happiness and stability for my future family and I. Some of the words that are small are really important to me, and some of the larger words are not as important to me, we all have similar reasons for why we work. The word that stands out the most is future, the job I hope to be employed in will bring my family future and bring me an opportunity to put work second and the more important things in my life first. Of course money is a huge factor, but why take a job that its absolutely painful to get out of bed for everyday, when it is possible to find a job you strive to do your absolute best in and possibly change the world!

I think the words that stick out to me the most are Money and Support. Money is what everyone needs everyday to buy various things. Through the money assignment it has showed me how much money effects my life. I spend way more than I thought I did. Also, since my job is basically playing guitar and always involving music, I'm working for my future. As an artist you gain so much expierence from just getting out there and experiencing being onstage first hand. The more I play out, the better I get all around. I receive criticism to better myself. It is also going be good for college because I want to major in music. Expierence is always a good thing because it helps you to work better in pressure situations that are extremely important. I'm hoping I will also be able to use my musical abilities when I'm older because I feel like with all my practice I actually have a shot at being extremely involved with music. I think I'm called to work with music so that is what I'm working for.

The words in this picture that best describe why we work is definitely money, support, and self-worth. Many people wake up every moring and go to a job, not a vocation. A lot of the American population just works for the sole purpose of obtaining money so they can survive and support their family. The minority, however, work because they're passionate. They work to feel good about themselves, whether it's helping others, helping a business grow, or making a difference. Working makes their self worth increase, and it's a joy to get paid for doing something you love. I really hope to have an actual vocation later in life, rather than a job I hate. In my opinion, it's completely pointless to wake up every morning and do something you don't like. I really don't want to be that typical person who hates their job.

Enjoyment, family, dignity, experience, and all the other words on our motives to why we work are interrelated in many ways. Each of these words work off of each other. Just like in class you (Mr. Murray) were creating sentences that linked to one another with the words in our chart. After reflecting on all of these words I realized that they, essentially, are all one and work together. Just like work, for example when you love your fmaily it is nessicary to provide for them. YOur work or vocation must have all of these words, or small parts, with very precise meaning that add up to one ultimate meaning of why we do what we do, why we love what we do, and who we do it for.

With all of the words present in the picture, it shows us humans how our work ethic reflects in our personality. The words describe the never ending cycle of work and responsibility in our life time. A job can be something you either dread or you enjoy, for me as a student, it's a love-hate relationship. But others wake up and take on a responsibility that they love to carry, which they call their job. You, Mr. Murray, I can see from the way you present yourself and the way you teach, you actually like your job and get a strong sense of enjoyment from it. You can be a good example of how we should focus on our careers, with balance and harmony through the two different lenses we humans look through.

Obviously I work for money. Money is essential for living, and it is the basis of work. However, to be satisfied with my work I need to do it for many different and more important purposes. In this wordle the reasons that stand out to me the most are: independence, respect, and family. First, at this point in my life the want for independence has become stronger as the year goes on. So, by working and making my own money I stop depending on my parents and depend more on myself. I start that small separation process, and it allows me to feel more like my own person. I find more of who I am through working on my own. Next, not only do I need the approval of myself, but the approval of others is also somewhat important to my happiness. So, by having a job and working hard at it everyday I receive the respect of others and myself. Finally, I work for my family. At the moment I work to help relieve the burden of my expenses. My parents have paid for everything my entire life, and if I can at least pay for my clothes, food, or gas that will somehow help. Also, later in my life I will work to help support my family. My purpose will be to give them a happy life, worry-free of unpaid bills. So, I hope to always look through the correct lens and work for my family, independence, and respect instead of just purely money.

When I get my first real job, yes my main purpose will be to make money. However with the wordle we made in class, I'll be working for much more. The words that stick out to me are Family, support, love, success and future. Family alone is going to be a huge part of my life in the future. Not only because I don't feel like I spend enough time with all my family but because I believe church teaches us that it is important. The support will come from my family, that's why that is such an important word. Once again coming from family would be love, and also I need to have love for my job and what I do. Success is a goal that I strive for and I know many others strive for everyday. Its like that apple that shines at the very top of the tree and you have to work so hard to get it. It may take a few tries but eventually you can achieve getting the apple. All of this finally falls into my Future, the future really means everything, everything falls into my future. What I want to focus on the most is looking through the correct lens as we talked about in class. That one will always be family and faith first.

there are many different ways to define work. its different according to why other people work. the words that stuck out to me were support, accomplishment, independence, and family. right now i want to work so i can gain independence and so i can support myself and that will help me develop to get a better career and then in the future when i have a family ill be working so i can support them. and being able to support myself and my family i will feel accomplished and ill be proud of myself.i also want to love what i do because if i dont enjoy my job i wont look forward to it and i will slack off and wont succeed. but the one thing that i will always remember is that family comes first. i need to be the most involved with my family and then i can be more involved with my work.

In my opinion, we work for many different reasons. As you can tell in the image, some reasons are bigger than others, like money, support, family, and self-worth. We all need money in order to live, you need it to buy food, shelter, and to support your family. There are also many smaller reasons to why we work. I work for experience, to learn from those experiences and to gain independence. I also work for money, to buy things for myself and others. I believe working will better prepare you for you career and your future. We are all searching for a purpose in the world, working is one of them. Work should be something you love and enjoy to do, it shouldn't be a pain to go to.

The image shows why we work. The main reason is obviously for money for many different reasons. Money is there for support and for comfort. There are obvious other reasons to work like love, future, and family. We work to determine our future and if you work, you should always lvove what you do. family needs to be paid for by the money you make.

The image that is being portrayed best shows things in our lives. The image shows work, but more importantly, it shows how we prioritize the things in our lives. My preference and purpose towards fulfilling my work as a vocation can be defined in various ways. When I look at this picture, the main word that pops out to me is money. Now, money is very important in our lives today. However, if we start putting money in the front of our lives, that is when things can go terrible wrong. It doesn't matter if this world revolves around money, it doesn't mean every single person with money in this world is happy. The word I pick out when I look at this picture is self-worth. One thing that I like to ask myself every day is am I happy? You can have all of the money in the world and still not be able. The thing that matters is what we went over in class, self-worth. If your relationship with God is good, your life will be good. If you start putting other things in your life first, you will not be happy. Lastly, I think it is ironic how this image looks somewhat like a fish. This shows that God is watching over us every day and loves the work we are doing here at NDCL and the work we are doing in our lives.

In my opinion, I believe this image really shows why we work. The main reason everyone works is for money. That's very realistic, I think. Support is also very realistic. Everyone has someone they need to support. Whether it be themselves, family, friends, etc. We all need a job to make money and support someone. Honestly, I want to find a career that I get enjoyment out of. I already have a pretty clear understanding on what it is I would like to do. That might change, who really knows. I just really want to do a job I love and won't mind getting up and going to work every morning. This also goes along with doing what I love. If I could go into music management or public realtions, I think I'd be my happiest. I like working for bands and being actively involved in the music industry. Doing something along those lines would definitely be something I would love to do and get enjoyment out of.

We work for many different reasons. In my opinion it represents who we are in many ways in the ways in which we work. If we base all that we work off of as to do what we love then it shows in our work that we do what we love. The picture clearly shows that the reasons why we work a re pretty self-explanatory in that many of us are worried about what we will be able to do in the future so place all of our faith in our job that it will sustain us for the future. Another thing that was the most popular reason for why we work is that we work in order to make money. In order to survive in what seems like today's culture it has become a necessity that we make money in order for us to be able to make a living kn the country that we live in.

Personally, work is something that needs to be done in order for some other thing to be achieved, such as paying the bills or earning some extra cash. However, a career is something someone does because they truly love it and have a passion for it. I understand why the main reason that people work is money. It is not because people are greedy and desire to be rich. It is because money is necessary to get by nowadays. You cannot survive without money, and you cannot obtain money without working, unless you hit the lottery. This money earned can go on to support your family or kids, which are other words that students said often. As I grow older, I want to work for love of my work and to make a name for myself. I believe that this is a lot of people's goals as they get older. However, the sometime a person will get the best of both worlds and get a job they love that makes good money. Working can also bring about a sense of pride and accomplishment, which are a few other reasons why I work. There is just something about earning your own money and buying your own items that just makes you feel good.

I think that as a society, we are focused too much on money. Although it is imperative, we want excessive amounts of it. In my opinion, we should work for other reasons besides the biggest word in the picture. We should focus on things such as support, family, self-worth, responsibility, and happiness. Someday I hope to have a job that I love. If I realize that I am only working for money, I will work to change my lifestyle. I consider wealth to be a good reward for hard, honest work. There is nothing wrong with having money, but there is something to say about deserving it. I've always been taught that if you want to be rich, then count your blessings. All I need is a family, a job I enjoy, and enough money to live, and I hope that I can be happy.

My personal motivation to work is to work for others, not necessarily money. Right now I work at a low paying pizza shop in Mayfield. I work there because I enjoy the people I work with, and I like helping people out with different tasks and projects that need to be done daily in order for our pizza shop to be successful. I love our customers as well. We have our certain customers that come in on certain days and order the same thing every time, and I enjoy talking with them and giving them coupons that seem to make their day. I have been working since I have been 13 years old, and I truly believe that is why I've learned throughout the years how to be more mature and take a look into how I can make a difference in the world. In reality I know I cant make an impact in the world, but simple kindness to a customer who is satisfied with their food can really change their outlook of that day all together. I work to achieve self accomplishment, so that at the end of the day I can say that I am satisfied with what I have done that day, and I work to motivate others to have the same overview of work as I do.

The image we created in class are the reasons why we all work. Each word is self explanatory.I believe that people work for atleast one reason displayed. I personally work for idependance. I believe that being independant and being able to support yourself is a great value. I personally get self gratification when I can say that I earned something because of my own work. If you can never stand on your own two feet you will constantly be relying on others for help and money.People admire a hard worker. Someone who works to be able to support themselves. Supporting yourself is a part of maturity that every successful human being has done at one point in their life to get to where they are. When I get to college I will be alone and thats when independance will become a must. Why not get an early start?

I think what everyone wants is to be successful. They want to be comfortable and happy and to love what they do. unfortunatly, as you can see in the picture, somewhere along the road it stops being about the love of your work and more about doing anything you can to get money, power, respect. The reason i work, at this point in my life, is for independance and security. i work because i want to know that if worse comes to worse ill be able to have something to fall back on. i want to be independant now, before i actually need to be, so that when i go off into the world im not a clueless inexperienced little kid. in the future i hope to beable to use the money and experience i get now and put it towards fulfilling my dreams of owning my ow small buisness. if i work hard now while im young and full of time i can enjoy doing what i love and be happy doing it.

When I interpret this image I see multiple words and signify why people work. Some poeple do not work for all these reasons and have their own personal preference and thats how I am. For myself, I have been working since the age of 14. I have a large family and I felt I needed to work to help out my parents. They should not have to pay for my extra needs including clothes, other accessories, and extra curricular activities that I choose. They already pay for a lot.. my education. So, technically I began to work out of guilt. Once I started to work I loved every aspect of it. It made me feel extremely independent having that check signed to me. Opening my first checking account with a credit card was also a big deal. I just like to know that I worked hard and earned that money for myself and can put it towards a certain goal I am saving for. I like to feel mature and self dependent. I hate depending on others or worrying about others "supporting" me financially. Thats a big pet-peeve of mine. I just know that starting at a young age I began to learn independence and that has made me who I am today.

In my opinion, working should be about doing what you love. It is a way to expess values, and standing up for what you believe in, however, that isn't the case for most people working today. I think our wordle was dead on. People work for many reasons, but money is the main one. If we have families and we need essentials, someone in that house needs to being home some type of income in order to live. But, its the amount of money that people stress about. People become so caught up in trying to get paid a lot of money, and they forget about the most important things in life. A job should be something enjoyable and a place where you can have fun and make money to support your family, or maybe just yourself if you do not have a family. As a teenager, the most important word is independnce. I am eighteen now, and I should not be relying on my parents for every little thing. When I go to work, I actually like doing what I do. It may be jsut a minimum wage job, and seem really mediocre, but it allows me to meet new people, make new friends and support myself with out too much help from my parents. If I did not really want to work, then I most likely wouldn't. To me, having a job allows me to make money, to support myself, and shape me into a more independant young woman. I hope to one day have a family of my own and choose a career that best suits my life style and what I love to do. I will try to keep my family and God as my top priority, because nothing will ever be more important than those two things.

Many people who work and have families tend to put their focus on the wrong thing and put work before their family. They focus on making money, which is important to support a family, but you cannot make work and money at the top of your list because your family needs to come first. If you do not put your family first, you will not be happy and satisfied in life. It seems that many people today have trouble leaving their work at work and just coming home to their family in a bad mood which you really shouldn't do because your family is who will stand behind you and support you and you don't want to hurt the people most important to you. One thing I do think is that everyone should enjoy their job but obviously not everyone will and that is something you cannot really change. I currently do not have a job but am looking for one because, although I generally pay for my own things, I need to be able to support myself more and I cannot rely on my parents to pay for something for me even if I plan on paying them back because one day, they won't be around when I need something to be paid for and I'm not gonna know what to do if I don't have money and can't pay for it on my own. I need to become more independent but I also need my parents to give me the independence I deserve and I'm not so sure they've started doing that much yet. One day, I hope ot have a career that I enjoy and can be successful in as well as one that can allow me to support my family. I will keep the most imortant things as my top priority, family and God, and always put work second.

Working should be about doing what you love, as well as being able to find yourself and being able to support those you love. So our wordle was definitely on in that Money is important, but we also see that Self-Worth and Family are up there with Money. In our culture it is usual for most to just be working for money. But there are those who work just to work. I think that if i didn't do something i love then i wouldn't want to be a lifeguard. The reason i like being a lifeguard is because I get to save peoples lives when needed but also i get to be around water which is something that i love. Eventually once i am out of college i hope that even though the money factor will play a huge role in my life, i want my family to be the biggest part so that don't unbalance my life in anyway that is too terrible. I don't want to be looking unevenly through any lenses and this wordle showed how right now we all are, we all chose money the most out of all the word said. So we need to change it so that we look through the lens of our family and religion and friend coming first instead of money.

This image is a very accurate depiction of why people work and what they hope to gain from it. This image shows many great reasons as to why a person should work, including family, selfworth, and survival. All of these reasons are incredibly important in today's society if you want to accomplish living a satisfying life, and it is incredibly important to work towards these goals. Unfortunately, this image ironically has one image as the largest that while important, it represents much of the wrong reasons that people work. Greed, power, self indulgence, they are all things that, unless handled responsibly, result from working purely for money. That is why it is so important to work at the little things, which in this picture, seem to be some of the most important things to work for. This image truly shows almost every reason a person works, and to live a good life, one must really learn how to find the important values in the midst of all the unnecessary ones. I hope that when I am older and working in my career I am able to find he important values in my life.

When I look at this photo the thing that comes to my mind is money is a top priority. With money you can take care of everything in the little bubble. I feel people work just because they are very obsessive with their money but that is not the reason you should work. You should work because you like your job that makes you an overall better worker and better person.

I believe this graphic accurately portrays the reasons why most people in society work. Although money is a necessity, our society places much too large of an emphasis upon it. While I think that money is important, at least to cover our basic needs, I think that doing work that I enjoy is far more important. I would rather have a low-paying job that I love than a high-paying job that I loathe. Family and happiness are much more important to me than how much money I make. I can always earn more another day, but I might never have another day with my family.

The biggest word in the image is obviously money. I feel that nowadays, too many peopel work for money because they believe it will bring them happiness. But when you look at the picture when you take money away, you see a slew of more meaningful and less temporal aspects. Purpose, difference, enjoyment, self-worth. These are all incredibly important reasons for why people should work. When we work for less tangible things, we begin to find the correct balance between the left and right lenses. You can't have a vocation and not have that balance. When we work to fulfill these more meangingful aspects, we find ourselves in a vocation. Something more than a job. It is purposeful, defining, and meaningful. That's what work should accomplish.
